This weekend like many other previous
weekends there was way too much to do and see. Everyone should
be so lucky. I live within 30 miles of 4 other panel owners.
We managed to go to 4 different shows this past weekend. Those
would be Algonac, Arthur, Moparfest and the Woodward Dream Cruise.
I managed to go to Moparfest and Arthur. I am always trying to
chase down elusive panels and will go out of my way to try and
find them for myself and others. I was hoping to see one or two
at Moparfest, there was only one and that one was for sale for
what seemed to be a rather steep price of $7500. From there it
was on to Arthur where I met up with some familiar faces from
SOCP and attendees at Panelfest.
Larry, Ron and Cambridge Rick were ther from SOCP as was Cluckie.
I was a bit dissapointed not to see any other panels there. Larry
took home the best Ford Custom award and Cluckie won a very neat
utility trailer in the door prize draw. The only problem was
getting it home. I measured the Safari for it but it was about
12 inches too wide.
On the way home I spotted another Dodge for sale, this time a
Townwagon in resonably good shape for way I think was $3500 in
the town of Fergus.
I did miss a stock Ford show at the Ford plant Oakville that
same day.
Cambridge Rick went to Woodward and said he saw 5 panels cruising
including the Pro-Street Dodge. Peter went to Algonac also in
Michigan, anxious to see some pictures from that. |
