This 1/43 1950 Chevy is actually
a Kinsmart Suburban. I put some electrical tape over the windows
and found some neater wheels for it, I did this up a few years
ago. Well someone not too far from me has built this truck full
scale, it is primer black though. So I will have to do a paintjob
on this one and maybe have it ready for Panelfest in case.

Just
when I say I am going to downsize I get a brilliant idea to finally
do a diorama of a garage that can be used for both large scales
1/24-1/18. Here's 3 GM 1/18 panels in the Paneltruck Garage. |
Diecast panel trucks are quite popular
collectors ite ms.
Many are made as coin banks in the 1/25 scale and there
are Hotwheels, Johnny Light ning,
Matchbox . . . panels ranging from 1/64 to 1/18 scale. You can
get just about every make and era of panel truck. H ere are some of the panels I have collected
through the years. The collection includes many variations of
panels from a Hemmings F1 Christmas ornament to a cast Iron Model
T Coca Cola panel. |
When I first started the site I began to collect every die cast panel I
could find in every scale from 1/87 up to 1/18. I only rea lized when we moved
how many panels I had, unfortunately the room I have to display
my "toys" is much smaller now so I will have to part
with some of them especially some of the 1/18 and 1/25 scale
diecast. I will over time get as many posted here as possible
and if your interested in any of them drop me a line. Getting
the pictures together now. |
