Chevy and GMC Panel Trucks

Welcome to the Chevy/GMC Panel galleries. Here you’ll find some excellent examples of the various styles of panels Chevrolet and GMC offered over the years. Chevy/GMC offered panels longer than any other manufacturer, and in most years, in greater numbers than the others. Not only are there more restorable trucks out there, there’s a lot of NOS and reproduction parts available for most years. In particular, the Advance Design style was produced for eight and a half years with no major changes, and it was the sales leader during its time. “Advance Design” Chevy and GMC panels differed only in some grill and hood details (not interchangeable), with different engines, but otherwise shared body and trim parts and model styles. Panels of that era were available in ½ and 1 ton models, plus Suburbans and Canopy Expresses. Peter Reisiger
